List a Prayer Vigil

These instructions assume the creator or one of the team members has a Google account that can host the sign-up sheet.

  1. Click the template link: Template
  2. Once opened, select the File menu option in the upper left corner.
  3. Choose “Make a copy”
  4. Give the copy a new name and save it in the “My Docs” folder.
  5. Edit the new copy (it should still be open) and replace the XXXX with your weekend or Secretariat name and the weekend number.
  6. Add the weekend dates to the left-most column.
  7. Once you are satisfied with the form, select the blue “SHARE” button from the upper right corner.
  8. Click on the drop-down arrow in the center box and select “anyone one with the link can edit”
  9. Next, click the button to the right of the sharing block to copy the web address (URL) of the form
  10. It is recommended that you use an URL shortening application such as Bitly or Tiny url to shorten the extremely long-form address.
  11. Once you have created a short URL, copy and paste it into the “List a Weekend” field for the Prayer Vigil. you will also want to publish this short URL on your web secretariat site, your regional website, and possibly on your Facebook page.
