List a Prayer Vigil
These instructions assume the creator or one of the team members has a Google account that can host the sign-up sheet.
- Click the template link: Template
- Once opened, select the File menu option in the upper left corner.
- Choose “Make a copy”
- Give the copy a new name and save it in the “My Docs” folder.
- Edit the new copy (it should still be open) and replace the XXXX with your weekend or Secretariat name and the weekend number.
- Add the weekend dates to the left-most column.
- Once you are satisfied with the form, select the blue “SHARE” button from the upper right corner.
- Click on the drop-down arrow in the center box and select “anyone one with the link can edit”
- Next, click the button to the right of the sharing block to copy the web address (URL) of the form
- It is recommended that you use an URL shortening application such as Bitly or Tiny url to shorten the extremely long-form address.
- Once you have created a short URL, copy and paste it into the “List a Weekend” field for the Prayer Vigil. you will also want to publish this short URL on your web secretariat site, your regional website, and possibly on your Facebook page.
